Our Founder, Dr. Connie Bivens is a woman who utilizes her gifts, talents, and experiences to empower and encourage others.  She is a practical Bible teacher, an entrepreneur, and the author of “Grow Girl - Turning Stumbling Blocks Into Stepping Stones.”  As an author her book is helping women all over the world find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ.  As an entrepreneur, she founded Activate Your Life Coaching, where she is helping women live the life they were predestined to live.  As the Co-Pastor, of Greater New Birth Family Outreach Ministry and Co-Founder of Saving Grace Ministries Church, Inc., she is preaching and teaching the gospel to those in need of a Savior bringing hope, help and healing.

 

Through Encouraging the Heart, Woman to Woman Ministries, she teaches on a number of topics designed to encourage, empower, equip, and educate the total woman. Her candid communication style allows her to share openly and practically about her experiences.  Her authenticity and transparency allows her to use her own testimony of healing and deliverance to empathize with her audience.  Having suffered sexual abuse during her childhood, as well as just dealing with the struggles of everyday life, Connie discovered the freedom to live victoriously by applying God's Word to her life and in turn desires to help others do the same.

 

Connie’s life verse is from Acts 20:24, “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”  As a result of living life rather than allowing life to live her she has been honored to receive the 2010 President's Volunteer Service Award (President B. Obama), she was named the 2011 Volunteer of the Year aboard Camp Pendleton Marine Base (General C. Hudson), and she received the 2015 Woman of Power - Woman of the Year Award (Dr. BJ Relefourd) along with numerous other awards.

Everyday Connie thanks God for allowing her to enjoy life with her awesome support team – Her husband of over 40 years, Kenneth, her four sons, daughter-in-love, Felicia & Taydum, her nine grandchildren, her wonderful father, Jack, her late mother Ida,  her three amazing sisters, Rosalind, Jessica, and Gloria, and the host of women whose life the Lord has blessed her to impact.

 

Pastor Connie is and continues to be an incredible testimony of the dynamic, redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
