The name Vanessa in the Greek means a group of butterflies, so I would say I am a butterfly. “If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies.”

 

Vanessa is affectionately called “Sis” by her family. Although she has no biological sisters, she is a big sis, little sis, sister- cousin, sister friend and a spiritual sister to many.

 

Vanessa gave her life to the Lord as a child and has spent a lifetime getting to know God. She is passionate about the Word of God and sharing that truth with others.

 

In 2006, the Lord birth “Health in Ministry” (HIM) through Vanessa.  A ministry based on the life of Jesus as He went about all Galilee, teaching, preaching, and healing all manner of sickness and disease (Matthew 4:23).  God uses HIM to fulfill His purpose of health and ministry.

 

Vanessa has been a registered nurse for over thirty years, She is a Certified Diabetes Educator, with a Certificate in Community Health Center Management. She is also a trainer in the Stanford University Chronic Disease Self-Care Management Program.

 

Vanessa is a graduate of Bible Counseling Ministries and Boston Christian Academy School of Practical Ministry. 

 

Vanessa is married to  CJ Jenkins,  and the mother of two wonderful, loving, and supportive adult children who have blessed her with four super smart, talented, athletic and sensitive grandchildren. 

 

Like the Apostle John in 3 John 2, Vanessa wishes above all things that men and women would prosper and be in health as their souls prosper.
