Kay Hendricks was reared in Pickens, South Carolina. She is the eldest of six children.  She is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan Univerity and is retired from Pickens High School.

 

Over the years Kay has served in various ministries in the church and community such as Vacation Bible School, Missions,  Young Adult Choir Director, and street ministry.  Kay is an Encouraging the Heart partner who serves as our Care Team Finance Coordinator.

 

Kay accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 11 and since that time she has become an active prayer warrior leading many souls to Christ in the United States and abroad.

 

Currently, she serves with her husband of 47 years, Pastor Charles Hendricks at Shoals Creek Baptist Church, Dacusville, SC where she has served as President of the Oolenoy River Baptist Congress of Christian Education and as Chairperson of the Prayer and Evangelistic Ministry,

 

Kay has four adult children, 11 grandchildren and a host of neices and nephews, one of which she and Pastor Hendricks raised in their home.

 

Kay has a heart for the youth and is actively implementing and directing many activities to encourage them to fulfill their purpose.  Kay reminds herself daily through Psalm 127:3 that children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  Psalm 127:3
